About This Blog

Hebrew Gold is a repository of nuggets mined from the Old Testament.  The chief purpose and goal is to examine the Old Testament, its text, and translation, and its meaning for contemporary culture. Currently, there are three contributors.

All three are bona fide Old Testament professors teaching full time at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.

All three earned PhD degrees at Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati, Ohio.

All three have published and are currently publishing in the field of Old Testament Studies.

All three are Evangelical Christians.

Dr. Steve Andrews is the chief editor of HebrewGold.com and moderates this blog. He is also professor of Old Testament, Hebrew, and archaeology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He directs the PhD program in Biblical Studies at Midwestern and the Morton-Seats Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology.

Dr. Blake Hearson is assistant professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at Midwestern Seminary. He also currently edits the Midwestern Journal of Theology.

Dr. Dan Watson is associate professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at Midwestern Seminary
